Scientific and research cooperation agreement between the universities of Sohag and Al-Zawya Al-Gharbiyya in Libya

*Al-Nomani declares: Providing all aspects of support to Libyan expatriate students and overcoming all difficulties they may face*
Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, met with Ismail Al-Hadi Ebaid, the cultural and academic attaché at the Libyan Embassy in Cairo, and Dr. Mahmoud Jadour, Vice Dean for Scientific Affairs at Zawia University in Libya, in order to activate the scientific and research cooperation agreement between the two universities, in the presence of both Dr. Ismail Al-Akash, Dean of the Faculty of Science, and Dr. Sami Issa. Director of the International Cooperation Office at Zawia University, Dr. Ahmed Al-Saghir, responsible for expatriate affairs at Sohag University, at the university’s rest house in Cairo.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani expressed his deep regret for the human damage and huge material losses caused by Hurricane Daniel, stressing that President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi is keen to provide all forms of support and assistance to the Libyan people, and that the Egyptian state will remain the first support for the Arab brothers. In times of crises and disasters, based on shared responsibility and fraternal ties.
Al-Nomani explained that the meeting discussed mechanisms for joint scientific and academic cooperation between the two universities, in cooperation with the Cultural and Academic Attaché at the Libyan Embassy in Cairo, with the aim of providing educational services to students of the highest quality that mimic the requirements of the labor market in the future, and to benefit mutually from shared experiences and cultural interactions.
Al-Nomani added that the meeting also discussed
Mechanisms for increasing the number of Libyan expatriate students at the university, stressing that the university provides all aspects of support and the best methods of modern education and distinctive programs to provide them with knowledge and culture and overcome all the difficulties they may face, as they are true ambassadors of Sohag University in their country, in implementation of the state’s directives to improve the expatriate student system. .
Both Dr. Mahmoud Jaddour and Ismail Al-Hadi praised the scientific and academic standing of Sohag University and the prestigious reputation it enjoys as a beacon of science and culture, and the tangible progress it has achieved in the education sector, explaining that it was agreed that the Cultural and Academic Attaché of the Libyan Embassy in Cairo would make an official visit to Sohag University. The meeting included a presentation about Zawia University and its various colleges and educational programs.
