Sohag University advances to the final of the 400-meter student race within the Egyptian Universities Youth Week competitions
Student Mahmoud Riad in the second year at the Faculty of Education at Sohag University advanced to the final of the 400-meter student athletics race, which was held on the grounds of the American University as part of the 13th Egyptian Universities Youth Week competitions at Helwan University.
Both Dr. Mohamed Ihab, the team’s technical director, and Nashat Abbas, the director of the Sports Activity Department sponsored by Central Youth, explained that the student Mahmoud Riyad won second place in the third qualifier, which includes 8 universities with a time of 55:04 seconds, and will compete today in the final of the race, explaining that the university’s athletics team includes 11 male and female students compete in the 400-meter dash, male and female triple jump, male and female shot put, and mixed relay.
