
Sohag University participated in the medical convoy organized by Helwan University as part of the activities of the 13th Egyptian Universities Youth Week, which launched in the Zarayeb area on May 15 in Helwan.
Dr. Hassan Al-Numani, President of the University, said that the University is keen to have its students participate in such activities that instill within them the spirit of belonging and urge them to assume responsibility, extend a helping hand, and help others.
Al-Numani added that the university had contributed to purchasing medical and therapeutic medicines to distribute them free of charge to citizens attending the medical convoy that was set up inside the Al-Zohour Medical Center in the Al-Zaraib area.
Dr. Muhammad Kamal, head of the Universities Youth Week delegation, explained that student Mahmoud Muhammad al-Sayyid at the Faculty of Medicine and student Islam al-Arif at the Faculty of Nursing participated in implementing the activities of this convoy, under the supervision of Sabri Ibrahim, Director General of Central Youth Welfare, and Asmaa Omar Muhammad, Director of the Social Activities and Trips Department.
