
The Faculty Capacity Development Center at Sohag University concludes its training program on teaching and learning strategies
The Center for Capacity Development of Faculty Members and Leadership at Sohag University concluded its training program on “Teaching and Learning Strategies,” which targeted 24 teaching assistants and assistant teachers from the university’s various colleges, at the center’s headquarters on the old campus.
Dr. Hassan Al-Numani, President of the University, said that the aim of the training program is to provide participants with knowledge and skills related to teaching and learning strategies, and to change their attitudes positively towards adopting appropriate strategies to achieve their teaching goals, adding that the program included many axes and objectives, the most important of which is introducing teaching and learning strategies and their effective role in the process. Teaching, with a discussion of the most important teaching methods and activities, and the goal that matches each method to determine what is appropriate for the teaching goal.
Dr. Anbar Mahmoud, Director of the Center, added that the training program was presented by Dr. Khaled Abdul Latif Omran, Vice President of the University for Environmental Development and Community Service Affairs and Professor of Curricula and Teaching Staff, and Dr. Nadia Muhammad Ali at the College of Nursing, noting that the training was held in a direct training system over two days. An average of 10 hours of direct training, including various activities and training methods.
Anbar pointed out that the training program included many training methods and activities appropriate to achieving the training objectives, the most important of which were lectures, presentations, workshops, simulations, role-playing, etc., in addition to various means to evaluate its impact during training, including pre- and post-tests, observation, and questionnaires, with a comprehensive evaluation of all elements of the training process.
