The President of Sohag University receives an international delegation of medical students as part of the student exchange program
Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, received a foreign student delegation from medical colleges from the countries of “Spain, France, Italy, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Romania, Brazil, Kazakhstan, and India,” as part of the university’s student exchange program, which aims to enrich the scientific movement and Research and increase opportunities for exchanging experiences, and keeping up with everything new in various scientific and medical specialties.
Al-Nomani expressed his happiness at the presence of students at Sohag University for training at the Faculty of Medicine, benefiting from the expertise of faculty members, and exchanging charity and experiences with university students, stressing the importance of student exchange in strengthening relations between university students around the world, and benefiting from the practical training capabilities available in every country. University, in addition to his role in providing the opportunity for students to learn about civilizations, cultures and study patterns in various universities, whether Arab or foreign, and enriching cultural and scientific exchange and stimulating and promoting tourism, offering his thanks to the Scientific Society at the Faculty of Medicine at Sohag University (SMSA) for its efforts in implementing this program. Al-Numani stressed the keenness of the university administration to support and sponsor student exchange programs with various universities, whether at the regional or international level, and to contribute to supporting the talents and energies of young people, wishing the students further success and excellence during their academic and practical careers.
Dr. Abdel Nasser Yassin, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, pointed out that the university administration provides all the basic needs of students during their stay at the university, including everything related to housing, training, entertainment, etc., in addition to preparing a distinguished program throughout their stay that includes many attractions in the most beautiful areas. And landmarks in Sohag Governorate and Cairo, whether cultural, touristic or recreational.
Dr. Magdy Al-Qadi, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, said that the student exchange delegation is undergoing 30-day training in university hospitals in the departments of plastic surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, urology, obstetrics and gynecology, ophthalmia, brain and nerves, nose, ear and throat, in addition to… Implementing seminars and workshops on scientific research and surgical suturing.
The student, Abdul Rahman Al-Jaafari, in the sixth year of the Faculty of Medicine, and the president of the association, appreciated the unlimited financial and moral support from the president of the university and the Faculty of Medicine, which was the basis for the success of the student exchange program, adding that the program also dealt with organizing trips to visit the governorate’s tourist attractions, where the students visited Al-Arif Mosque, the White Monastery, and Red, Sohag National Museum and New Sohag City, and recreational tourist trips were organized for Hurghada, Luxor and Aswan.
The students gave their sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. Hassan Al-Nomani, praising this unique experience, which gave them the opportunity to witness many complex operations and cases that are difficult for them to see in their country, and the good quality of service provided by university hospitals to patients. They also extend their thanks to all the doctors who are training during the program period and for their efforts and competence in dealing with all medical cases, as well as their keenness to share all the medical details accurately.
At the end of the meeting, the university president handed over certificates to the students of the Scientific Society and to the expatriates in appreciation of their efforts, then took memorial photos.
