Sohag University continues to implement the activities of the Forum for Preparing Students to Participate in Student Activities, which is held under the slogan “A Better Future”, in cooperation with the Leadership Development Institute, and with the participation of the universities of South Upper Egypt, under the patronage of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Al-Numani stressed the university’s keenness to organize such student events and activities that aim to hone students’ skills and expand their awareness, as it is one of the most important pillars and foundations of the university work system, adding that the university is keen to provide a suitable environment for practicing various activities to develop young people culturally, socially, artistically, scientifically and athletically, which It helps students face the challenges of society’s present and future.
Dr. Abdel Nasser Yassin, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, explained that the forum continues its activities with a lecture entitled “The Role of Student Activities in Building the University Student’s Personality,” in which Dr. Mamdouh Mohamed Al-Sayed, Vice President of the Faculty of Physical Education at the University, lectured, and it dealt with clarifying the impact of student activities in building personality, and Developing all aspects that help him develop his skills, as well as its role in positively influencing the development of social and other skills.
Dr. Karim Hammam, Director of the Leadership Preparation Institute, confirmed that students’ participation in student activities plays a vital role in developing their abilities, and contributes to qualifying them to make positive contributions to their society and their country, adding that another lecture entitled “The list’s connection to student unions in the service of the university and society” was held, in which Dr. Hossam El-Din El-Sherif, Deputy Director of the Leadership Preparation Institute, explained that a comprehensive definition was given to student unions, their regulations, their purpose, and the conditions for running for them in accordance with what was stipulated in the regulations.
