Dr. Hassan Al-Nomany, President of Sohag University, announced the inclusion of 21 faculty members at the university among the 2% of most influential scholars in the world. This classification is the result of a study conducted by Stanford University and published by the international publishing house Elsevier.
Al-Numani praised the university’s distinguished scholars and researchers who have achieved many scientific achievements, stressing that such scientific achievements support the university’s progress in international classifications, pointing to the university administration’s interest in advancing scientific research and increasing the number of published research in international fields, in addition to supporting distinguished researchers with all necessary capabilities. To increase the number of research and international participation to achieve advanced positions in classifications in various specializations.
The university president added that this classification depends on several factors, the most important of which is the strength of international scientific publishing, the number of scientific citations in research, co-authorship, and participation in reviewing and editing scientific research in various scientific journals.
It is worth noting that the winning university scientists from the College of Science are Dr. Ibrahim Atit Allah, Dr. Mahmoud Abdel Aty, Dr. Abdel Moati Mohamed Abdallah, Dr. Abu Al Nour Nour El Din Abdallah, Dr. Laila Hamdan Abdel Rahman, Dr. Zakaria Atieh Mohamed, Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Abdel Wahab, in addition to Dr. Sidqi Hamed. Abu Laila, Dr. Mahmoud Abdel-Aleem Ali, Dr. Ayman Nafadi Ahmed, Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Abu Deif, Dr. Hani Mohamed Abdel Latif Ahmed, Dr. Mohamed Khairy Mohamed, Dr. Mohamed Shaker Adam, Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Youssef, Dr. Tariq Qandil, Dr. Imad Alyan, Dr. Sayed Abdel-Khaleq, along with Dr. Ahmed Azqalani at the College of Technology and Education, and both Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Qassem and Dr. Khairy Fathi Abdel-Sayed at the College of Engineering.
