Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, received a delegation from the Sector Committee of the Supreme Council of Universities, in order to determine the financial and human capabilities to begin studies at the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Environmental Research “on the credit hour system,” in the presence of Dr. Hamdi Hassanein, Acting Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Hazem Al-Mashanab, Dean of the Faculty of Science, and Dr. Hamdi Al-Sharif, Vice Dean of the College for Postgraduate Studies and Research.
Al-Numani explained that the committee’s visit came with the aim of ensuring the availability of all material and human resources for the college, such as completing the teaching staff, research laboratories, libraries, study halls, playgrounds, cafeterias and medical centers, in preparation for the beginning of studies at the college, stressing that the university is constantly seeking to provide more New and distinctive fields and specializations that serve issues of society and the environment, as the college’s field of study will contribute strongly to studying environmental problems and finding solutions to them, maximizing the use of natural resources and their development, in addition to interacting with regional and global environmental issues, and striving to develop partnerships with various corresponding institutions. To achieve the sustainable development goals in accordance with Egypt’s Vision 2030.
Dr. Hamdi Hassanein confirmed that the committee included Dr. Mukhtar Youssef Ibrahim, former Vice President of Alexandria University for Postgraduate Studies and Research – full-time professor at the Institute of Postgraduate Studies and Environmental Research at Alexandria University, Dr. Gamal Abdel Aziz Anan, Dean of the Faculty of Science at Zagazig University, and Dr. Mamdouh Arafa, Dean of the Institute of Postgraduate Environmental Studies. Sadat University praised the capabilities and human resources and recommended that the college be ready to begin studies and accept students for the spring semester (second semester) of the academic year 2023-2024.
