The Minister of Communications agrees to provide Computers for the Electronic Testing Building at Sohag University and install a Fiber Line in the New Hospital

Dr. Hassan Al-Nomani, President of Sohag University, said that the university is keen to implement the directives of President Sisi regarding the necessity of implementing digital transformation projects at the universities and digitizing university hospitals, with the aim of keeping pace with global development in this field, in addition to facilitating and accelerating the process of providing educational and medical services provided to students and our families from the governorate and neighboring governorates.

In this regard, Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani met with Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, at the Ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, where the meeting discussed aspects of joint cooperation between the Ministry and the University, with the aim of building digital capabilities and achieving sustainable digital community development, digital institutional development, in addition to disseminating digital culture.

Al-Nomani said that during the meeting, Dr. Amr Talaat agreed to extend a fiber line linking the new hospital and the university’s information network, with the aim of providing automated educational and medical services in the hospital and other development projects that arise, which will contribute to raising the efficiency of medical and therapeutic services, and facilitating services for the patient and saving the time and effort of the staff of the new hospital.

Al-Nomani added that Dr. Amr Talaat also agreed to provide an appropriate number of computers to equip the electronic testing building, which was established in the new headquarters, and can accommodate approximately 5,000 male and female students, in preparation for its start in the next academic year, with the aim of developing methods for student evaluation.

Al-Nomani pointed out that during the meeting also, Dr. Amr Talaat agreed to provide servers and security devices to facilitate the university’s digitization process and maintain the security and confidentiality of its data.
