Sohag University rose to the quarter-finals in table tennis at the Egyptian Universities Youth Week in Helwan
Mohamed Ayman Hussein, a student in the second year of the Faculty of Engineering, Sohag University, advanced to the semi-finals of the individual table tennis competitions in the thirteenth Universities and Higher Institutes Youth Week, which is hosted by Helwan University this year from the 8th to the 14th of this month of September, with the participation of 4,000 male and female students representing 48 universities. Governmental, private, civil and technological, this was stated by Dr. Hassan Al-Tamani, President of the University.
Student Mohamed Ayman advanced to the quarter-finals after defeating a Menoufia University player with a score of 3-0, and a Beni Suef University player with the same score.
The university’s table tennis team participates in singles, doubles, and mixed competitions. The team consists of 2 male and 2 female students. The supervisory board also includes Dr. Taha Mohamed Al-Sayed, the team’s technical director, and Captain Mohamed Hamdallah, the team’s administrator.
