The Sohag University five-a-side football team outperforms Galala University and tops the standings of the first group in the Universities Youth Week competitions
Sohag University topped the first group in the five-a-side football competition after defeating Galala University 1-0, topping the standings of the first group, winning first place and advancing to the round of 16, as part of the activities of the Universities and Higher Institutes Youth Week in Helwan, this was stated by Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani, the university’s president.
Nashaat Abbas, Director of the Sports Activity Department at the General Administration of Central Youth Welfare, added that the university’s pentathlon team achieved the third victory in the first group after defeating Mansoura University’s pentathlon team with a score of 3 zero, and the new Mansoura National University with the same score, to continue the series of victories by defeating the pentathlon team. Galala University scored 1-0, topping the first group standings.
It is worth noting that the university team consists of 8 students, and was trained by Dr. Yasser Taha, the team’s technical director.
