Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani, Acting President of Sohag University, witnessed the graduation ceremony of the 18th batch of students with disabilities at the Nour Al-Basira Center, numbering 35 male and female students from various colleges, in the presence of Dr. Khaled Omran, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Imad Al-Suwaina, Director of the Center, and Dr. Salma. Abdel Moneim, Deputy Director of the Center, Major General Hatem Sadiq, Director of University Security, and a number of faculty members and leaders of the Governorate’s Education Directorate, in the glass hall on the old university campus.
The university president stressed President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s keenness, since he assumed power, to guarantee the rights of people with disabilities, and to lift the marginalization they have suffered over the past decades, by providing real services to them, integrating them into society, and employing their energies to serve themselves, their families, and society as a whole, explaining that the university It is keen to support students with disabilities and fulfill their human right to receive quality and efficient education, as an inherent right in which everyone is equal, and to support them in various ways and means available to contribute to the development of society, achieving sustainable development, and building the new republic.
During his speech, Al-Numani thanked and appreciated all the graduates and their parents, who were able to bring their children to this day, which represents the harvest of continuous efforts of distinguished students who have a high degree of ambition and will in order to achieve their goals, wishing them the continuation of their educational journey to complete their postgraduate studies in the same specialty, and praising the role of The Egyptian state spares no effort in caring for people with special abilities, and providing them with all aspects of support, care and encouragement to maintain their superiority and distinction.
For his part, Dr. Khaled Omran explained that the university administration is keen to integrate students with disabilities with their colleagues in various student activities and participations, and is also committed to developing training and educational plans and programs that support them and are appropriate to their various disabilities. He extended his greetings and thanks to Dr. Imad Al-Suwaina, Director of the Center, and all its members for their efforts. towards students.
Dr. Imad Al-Sunaiah expressed his happiness at the graduation of the 18th batch of people with disabilities at the Nour Al-Basira Center, extending his thanks and appreciation to the university administration for its constant and unlimited support for serving students with disabilities, calling for the need for all governmental and non-governmental service institutions and bodies and civil society to come together to provide better services to this group, and to overcome all obstacles. that they may face to ensure a better future for them.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the University President presented certificates of honor to students with disabilities, and also honored sign language interpreters from the Directorate of Education and the directors of Al-Amal Schools for the Deaf.
