Al-Nomani explained that the College of Physical Education is one of the leading colleges in the field of organizing camps, which represents one of the main activities of the college’s student activities plan. He explained that camps are one of the important means for the student to acquire skills, refine and form his personality, develop within him the love of volunteer work to serve the community, and accustom him to taking responsibility. Developing leadership skills and enhancing the values of cooperation and helping others.
Al-Nomani added that the students participated in planting 1,000 fruitful trees as part of the presidential initiative launched by His Excellency President Sisi to plant one million fruitful trees, which reflects the efforts of the Egyptian state to deal with the issue of climate change, preserve the environment, and raise environmental awareness among all segments of society, to achieve and implement environmental sustainability systems and Egypt’s climate change strategy. 2050.
Dr. Ahmed Abdullah, acting dean of the college, said that the college is keen to organize such camps on an ongoing basis, adding that the number of students participating in the camp is 1,200 students, distributed by 200 students each week for six weeks.
Dr. Mamdouh Al-Sayyid indicated that the camp students were divided into 6 cohorts, and the camp is carried out every Friday during the period specified for the camp, indicating that the first cohort of the camp began today, Friday, October 13, and will continue until Friday, November 17.
Dr. Mohamed Kamal explained that the camp’s activities include public service work and afforestation in youth centers, in cooperation with Sohag Governorate and the Youth and Sports Directorate.
