The President of Sohag University said that the university’s website advanced 9 places at the level of Egyptian universities, becoming 28th place after it was in 37th place, and at the level of Egyptian news sites, it rose about 959 places, bringing its ranking to 2597, while at the world level, it advanced 56,785 places to be ranked 269,783.
Dr. Muhammad Heshmat, Director of the University’s Electronic and Knowledge Services Unit, added that this progress comes in light of the efforts made by the Electronic Portal Unit to improve the quality of the website and the services provided, as the average number of visits during the month of September reached about 162 thousand visits, with an average time spent by a visitor on the website being 4: 30 minutes, and an average of 4:02 pages viewed by one visitor, indicating that the most visited countries are Egypt, Bangladesh, Oman, and Algeria.
Engineer Taha Ahmed Khalaf, Deputy Director of the University’s Electronic Portal, indicated that the site issues its evaluation every month, and that the age group of visitors ranges between 18-45 years, and the social media platforms from which most visits come are Facebook, YouTube, and mobile devices (phones) constitute 78 percent. % of website traffic,
