Sohag University receives the Medical Committee for the Assiut Recruitment and Mobilization Region and signs a medical examination for 80 students with disabilities
Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, received Lieutenant Colonel Mahmoud Al-Qenawy, Head of the Recruitment Branch in the Assiut Recruitment and Mobilization Region, and his accompanying delegation and representatives of the Directorate of Education in Sohag Governorate, in order to sign a medical examination for students with disabilities at the university, students with disabilities from the Higher and Intermediate Institute of Social Service, and students with disabilities. In schools of intellectual education in the Directorate of Education in Sohag Governorate.
Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani appreciated the role of the military institution, represented by the Ministry of Defense and Military Production in the Assiut Recruitment and Mobilization Region, to provide and facilitate procedures for determining the position on conscription for students with disabilities, which contributes to alleviating the psychological, physical, and material suffering resulting from travel to Assiut Governorate, in order to obtain certificates of exemption from conscription in accordance with Disability type controls.
Dr. Abdel Nasser Yassin, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, referred to the efforts made by the state to support the service file for persons with disabilities, especially the armed forces, explaining that the university provides all support and assistance to all students with disabilities, in terms of accommodation in university cities, payment of university fees and equipment. Compensatory support, psychological counseling, direct intervention to solve all difficulties and challenges at the academic and technical levels, and participation in all student activities side by side with ordinary students during the stages of university education.
Dr. Tariq Zaki, Director of the Service Center for Students with Disabilities, stated that a medical examination was conducted on (80) students with various visual, motor, dwarf and mental disabilities from various university colleges, higher and middle institutes, and education and education in Sohag Governorate, pointing out the importance of effective teamwork and the institutional role. Integrated cooperation for all university departments and units related to providing integrated services to students with disabilities, as well as qualitative cooperation with the Directorate of Education in Sohag Governorate regarding the file of people with disabilities.
