Sohag University President discusses and reviews a Number of Difficult Cases in Orthopedic Surgery in a Lecture for the students
Prof. Hassan Al-Noamany, President of Sohag University, and Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and Microscopic Surgery, gave a practical lecture (Rhubarb Microscopic Surgery) for the students of the final year of Faculty of Medicine, with practical application on a number of pathological cases, in the hall of the Hand Surgery and Microscopic Surgery Unit in the Oncology Building at the old University Hospital.
Al-Numany stressed the importance of the specialty of microscopic surgeries, which is a new branch of surgery, as it appeared in the second half of the twentieth century, and microscopic surgical techniques, very small surgical sutures, and machines developed, adding that with the advent of microscopic surgeries, it became possible to perform transplants, tissue transfers, and reconnections.
It also allowed the transfer of entire parts of the limbs as well.
During the lecture, Dr. Hassan Al-Numani reviewed a number of medical cases as practical training for students, with the aim of training and graduating a generation of doctors specialized in this complex type of delicate surgery and capable of competing locally and internationally, adding that the training covered
A practical lesson to explain the symptoms and methods of treating pathological conditions in the specialty of hand surgery, nerve plexus surgery, peripheral nerves, and bone deformities.
The students expressed their happiness with Dr. Hassan, whose duties as a president of the university did not prevent him from performing his academic duty as a professor of orthopedic and microscopic surgery by giving his scientific lectures and practical exercises to them periodically.
