Beginning the renovation work on the infrastructure of the water and sewage network for the buildings of the old headquarters of Sohag University at a cost of 2 million pounds
Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani, Acting President of Sohag University, stated that infrastructure renovation work has begun, including replacing and renewing the water and sewage network for all buildings at the university’s old headquarters, at a cost of 2 million pounds, as the dilapidated network was replaced to reduce water loss, in implementation of the Egyptian state’s plan. By developing infrastructure and rationalizing water consumption, given Egypt’s increasing needs for water to expand comprehensive development processes.
Al-Nomani stressed that the issue of rationalizing water consumption and reducing waste is of interest to the Egyptian state, so the university administration was keen to implement the replacement process and renew the water network to suit the required volume of use, and improve the service provided to all university employees, explaining that all work is carried out under the full technical supervision of the drinking water company. And sanitation in Sohag, thanking those in charge of implementation and the supervising engineers for their serious cooperation and removing all obstacles to the speedy completion of it.
Engineer Hussein Mohamedin, Director of the University’s Engineering Department, added that water lines with a diameter of 6 inches were established in the main streets, and lines with a diameter of 4 inches to supply various buildings. Water valves with a diameter of 4 inches and 6 inches were also implemented on all lines, and rooms were created for all the new valves, in addition to the implementation of valves for all pipes. The fire was in front of the entrances to the buildings and on the sidewalks, pointing out that sewerage had also been connected to the medical sciences laboratories building and Dr. Bassiouni’s auditorium buildings, provided that all replacement and renovation work would be completed before the start of the new academic year.
