Sohag University hosts 5 startup companies during the Entrepreneurship Camp from idea to company
Dr. Hassan Al-Nomany, President of Sohag University, honored the participants in the Entrepreneurship Camp (from idea to company), numbering 108 students and graduates, which continued for three days, in the Entrepreneurship Club affiliated with the university’s Taiko offices, and funded by the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, in the presence of Dr. Khaled. Imran, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Dr. Moataz Atta, Director of the Taikoo Offices at the University.
Al-Noamani stressed the university administration’s keenness to support entrepreneurship thought among young people, encourage them to innovate and transform their ideas into implementable projects, in addition to supporting and incubating emerging companies, which in turn contribute to supporting the Egyptian economy and economic development plans, praising the role of the university’s taiko offices and their role. In promoting innovation and honing students with the necessary leadership skills, as youth are one of the most important targets of sustainable development.
For his part, Dr. Khaled Omran said that the entrepreneurship camp included introducing students to how to work within groups, conducting a comprehensive analysis of the market, knowing the different sources of funding and support available to startup companies, in addition to discussing various projects for the students participating in the camp, which contributed to giving them more experience. the operation,
Dr. Moataz Atta, Director of the Taikoo Offices at the University, added that the camp activities included the trainees submitting final presentations for startup company proposals, then selecting the winning teams after a strong competition, explaining that the winning startup projects will be embraced, and they are (5) companies out of 14 companies that applied for the camp.
It is worth noting that the winning companies are a medical device maintenance company, a cosmetic and therapeutic products company, a real estate investment company, paper products, and a future company for inverters.
