4 teams at Sohag University advanced to the qualifiers of the Egyptian Programming Competition for university youth
Sohag University announced the advancement of 4 teams of students from the Faculties of Computers, Artificial Intelligence and Engineering during their participation in the final qualifiers in the Egyptian Programming Competition at the university level, which was held at the headquarters of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Alexandria, in cooperation with the Fund for Welfare of Innovators and Geniuses, and qualified them to represent Egypt in the Arab Regional Competition. For programming ACPC, which will be held next November in Sharm El-Sheikh, this was stated by Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of the University, congratulating the winning students on their distinction and excellence, directing special thanks to the first team for obtaining tenth place and the bronze medal at the level of Egyptian universities.
Dr. Abdel Nasser Yassin, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, pointed out the importance of this competition in enhancing students’ skills, abilities and creative potential, especially in the field of programming and technology, in addition to nurturing innovators among them and supporting their talents in all aspects that serve development and the scientific research plan in Egypt.
Dr. Al-Numairi Allam, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence, said that 2,000 teams participated in the competition from more than 60 public, private and private universities across the country, and they were filtered down to 240 teams in the final of the competition, adding that 50 teams were promoted to represent Egypt in the Arab Regional Programming Competition. ACPC, which will be held next November in Sharm El Sheikh, from which the top teams will qualify to participate in the final global competition.
Dr. Sherine Khalaf, assistant lecturer at the college and supervisor of the delegation, explained that the four teams that were promoted include the Trie…catch team, namely Ahmed Alaa El Din Abdel Samie, Anas Majed Ahmed Sayed, and Abdel Rahman Saber Abdel Azim. The student team So3ouD_EgBARI also consists of Abdel Azim. Ahmed Abdel Azim, Osama Raafat Samuel Atta, Israa Abdel Jaber Ali Mahmoud, and the third team is Tree-Miserables and includes the students, George Magdy Asaad Zaki, Omar Abdel Aziz Ahmed Mohamed, Karim Abdel Rahman Mohamed Amin, and finally the Fun Time Error team!! It consists of students
Ahmed Al-Amir Muhammad Muhammad, Ahmed Ashraf Fathi Muhammad, Muhammad Ayman Hassan Al-Sayyid.
