*Gold Medal from Sohag University for the best proposal for the Climate Change Hackathon at the Egyptian Universities Week in Helwan*
Sohag University won the first place “gold medal” for the best climate change hackathon proposal within the scientific activities competition, at the conclusion of the activities of the thirteenth Egyptian Universities Youth Week under the slogan “The New Republic… A Dream of a Homeland,” which was organized by Helwan University with the participation of 48 Egyptian universities. This was stated by Dr. Hassan Al-Nomani, President of the University.
Dr. Abdel Nasser Yassin, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, explained that the student Ahmed Shehata Abdel Ghani and the student Israa Abdel Jaber Ali in the third year of the Faculty of Engineering participated in implementing the proposal, explaining that the climate change hackathon competition organized by the Egyptian Universities Youth Week participated with 21 public and private universities. .
It is worth noting that 6 students from different colleges at the university participated in the scientific and technological activity at the Egyptian Universities Youth Week, competing in many scientific competitions, under the supervision of Hany Badawy, Director of the Scientific and Technological Activity Department at the General Administration of Youth Welfare.
