Today, Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, inaugurated the 100 Million Fruitful Trees Initiative, by planting 1,000 trees at the university’s new headquarters, in cooperation with the Hengelha Foundation for Sustainable Development, in the presence of both Dr. Abdel Nasser Yassin, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Khaled Omran, Vice President of the University for Community Service Affairs. The university president stressed that the initiative reflects the efforts of the Egyptian state to deal with the issue of climate change, preserve the environment, and raise environmental awareness among all segments of society.
