Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, stated that the Department of Sports Activity at the General Administration of Central Youth Welfare organized the university’s table tennis tournament for male and female students (individuals and teams), with the participation of 17 colleges in addition to the university city.
Dr. Hassan Al-Numani explained that the university is keen to organize activities and events that contribute to raising the level of male and female students in all fields, stressing that sports activity is the basis of student activities for its important role in raising students’ physical and mental efficiency, forming their personalities and developing their leadership spirit, in addition to Satisfy their sporting inclinations and fill their free time in a positive way.
Dr. Abdel Nasser Yassin, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, said that the tournament was held in the sports activities hall in the College of Education at the new university headquarters, and 144 male and female students from all colleges participated in it, adding that the arbitration committee announced the results of the student teams’ matches, which resulted in the University City student team winning first place. The College of Science team won second place, and the College of Computing and Artificial Intelligence team took third place. As for the girls’ team championship, the College of Arts team won first place, the College of Education team won second place, and the College of Pharmacy team won third place.
Dr. Abdel Nasser Yassin pointed out that the individual matches (students) ended with the victory of: The student, Muhammad Ayman Hussein, from the College of Engineering, took first place, the student, Muhammad Mahmoud Sayed, from the College of Technology and Education, took second place, and the student, Michael Michel, from the College of Human Medicine, took third place. As for the individual matches (female students), they ended with the victory of the student, Aya Mahmoud Hussein, from the College of Arts, in first place, and the student, Manar Jamal Jaber, won first place. The College of Technology and Education won second place, and the student Iman Ashraf Mohamed from the College of Human Medicine won third place.
